Customer Review: A+
Excellent workout DVD. I’ve always been looking for good workout DVDs. The ABS Diet 2 is great for intermediate/advanced levels, which most available workout routines do not offer.
Customer Review: well rounded workout
The ABS diet plan/ideology has been the only one that my body has responded to and stuck to. It’s the diet/lifestyle itself that’s the most important to follow, and will shed the pounds and increase lean mass. As for this dvd, the workouts address all the muscle groups. I like the fact that you can mix and match the different phases of the dvd based on your workout schedule (i.e. warmup + ab workout + strength training). Not that it’s a drastic flaw, but the only thing I didn’t like was that the instructor uses the same weight dumbells for all exercises, but I just would swap dumbells in between the diff’t exercises. Overall, it’s worth the money, and it’s not as boring/repetitious as other workouts thanks to the mix/match feature.

The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-term Health

Referred to as the “Grand Prix of epidemiology” by The New York Times, this study examines more than 350 variables of health and nutrition with surveys from 6,500 adults in more than 2,500 counties across China and Taiwan, and conclusively demonstrates the link between nutrition and heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. While revealing that proper nutrition can have a dramatic effect on reducing and reversing these ailments as well as curbing obesity, this text calls into question the practices of many of the current dietary programs, such as the Atkins diet, that are widely popular in the West. The politics of nutrition and the impact of special interest groups in the creation and dissemination of public information are also discussed.

Customer Review: World scientist proves vegan diet can cure the killer diseases - cancer, heart, cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, etc.
I couldn’t put this book down. The information in this book has the potential to revolutionize American and possibly even world health using the proper food to eliminate the big killer diseases such as heart disease and cancer. We talk about national health insurance, but the best insurance we can have is to follow the ideas presented in this book. The ideas are so simple to implement. What you eat is directly affecting your health. This book will explain why and what to do about it so you can return to health and stay that way. Following the guidelines in this book changed the health of my family for the better. After reading the findings in this book we could no longer eat as we had been, and we thought we had been eating a healthy diet, but we both had some health issues and I’m a cancer survivor. After reading the book, I would say that the cancer can most likely be attributed to my typical American diet. So we changed overnight to the diet Campbell suggests for the health benefits. I feel better than I have in years. Yet this book is timely for more than just the way to individual health, but to the health of our land as well. Our heavy reliance on animal protein in our diet along with industrial style farming practices are turning much of our country into a desert and destroying the nutritive quality of the soil. Animal grazing practices all over the world have already created desert. We need to restore the health of our soil. A country that cannot maintain healthy soil cannot feed its people, and animal grazing is destroying that soil. With more people on the planet to feed than at any time in history, we need to turn to a vegetable diet anyway if we are going to feed everyone. Our numbers continue to grow. You do the math. Eating according to this book presents a solution not only to personal health but to feeding a nation. I’ve bought multiple copies of the book, the CD version as well and have been telling everyone I know about this book so they can return to health and/or stay that way. Many thanks to the authors for presenting this information. Enjoyable, totally accessible.
Customer Review: Lets start with the title…
Its a bit hard to write a review of this book because I am not sure where to start. The title would be the best place, but that is where the greatest flaw lies. The title of the book talks about the China Study, unfortunately very little coverage is given to the actual study except to say how it was conducted and a brief review of the results. The rest of the book is filled with aggressive arguments for the reader to become vegetarian, moaning about the current state of nutrition, and talking about how great the author thought he was by receiving multiple grants. The argument for the conversion to vegetarianism dominated the majority of the available pages. The author cited journals but often used older journals and drew some quick conclusions. While its true that there were some good points in the book, I would suggest reading a condensed version on Wikipedia. That way you can learn about the research without having to hear the author talk about his friends and how great of a job he did in the oft mentioned but rarely discussed China Study.
