& # xA0; Henry Morton Stanley had never been here, but the vast plateau of ice, we had crossed earlier to get to Margherita Peak bears his name. Stanley claimed the mountain for himself refuses to listen to the demands of his men to snowy peaks a few days earlier. Ironically, he could not enjoy what was then laid before us. The steaming jungles, forest elephants and chimpanzees was at our feet, forests of heather ; res giant and elusive Turacos Ruwenzori were ankle (at least in appearance) and above the lake Bujuku shone in the morning sun. It really seemed that the top of the world and Ptolemies ? € ~ Mountains Moona € ™ is one of the mountain ranges of the most extraordinary and interesting I’ve ever climbed. In 350AD the philosopher has prepared a table showing the Mountains of the Moon and a huge inland sea as the source of the Nile, the source of Egypt € ™ s life giving water. The accuracy of his map is nothing quite remarkable that the Rwenzori Mountains are in fact the highest source of Nile powerful. The storms that regularly engulf AfricaA € ™ s highest mountains dump huge volumes of water and every drop of water (no matter where he lands on the beach) flows into the Nile Basin and some of them found its way to quench the insatiable thirst of the desert northern Sudan and Egypt. Rwenzori Mountaineering Park starts from the park headquarters 5400 ft (1,646 m) in typical passing ? € € œmud and wattle houses Bakonzo and gradually moving upward through elephant grass and garden plots. It takes 40 minutes to reach the park boundary. The trail then follows the river Mubuku through areas of recent landslides and forced to climb over rocks and bluff, before reaching the river in Mahoma about two and half hours. After crossing the river, there will be a steep climb through open bracken slopes and forest Podorcarpus up & # xe0; Nyabitaba Hut 8700 feet (2652m). The total time for a hike through Nyakalengija to Nyabitaba is approximately 5 hours and total elevation gained is 4,000 feet (1200 m). During this part of the trip, you may be able to hear chimpanzees and sometimes you may get a glimpse of the black and white colobus monkeys and blue derris ; re the cabin or the bright and colorful Rwenzori Turaco bird. After 5-6 hours, a mountaineering must rest for a second trip from Nyabitaba Day Two From Nyabitaba Hut, the trail leads West Ward for half a mile, then descends steeply to Kurt Shaffer Bridge, crossing below the confluence of the rivers and Bujuku Mubuku. Turning right towards the bridge started to climb the anti-clockwise circuit from the central meaning of the needles is much more difficult and risky. After the Kurt Shaffer Bridge, the muddy slippery trail climbs steadily through bamboo forests. After a year and a half hours, you are face to face with Boulder hopping slippery and if you’re not strong and determined you may change your mind (but just kidding) Mountaineers are never prepared for the worst land. After 5 h travel Nyabitaba to reach the shack Nyamuleju and rock shelter matters which may be a good night stopover. This also marks the beginning of giant Lobelia and groundsel zone. This type of vegetation is remarkable anywhere in the world except the high tropical mountains. Walking 1 hour from John Matte Hut (11200 ft / 3414 m) is difficult through a bog full of extra ordinary plants and slow can be a wonderful opportunity to examine and photograph this unique environment. Typical time to reach John Matte is 7 hours. The loss of altitude to Kurt Shafer Bridge means the total elevation to be gained on this day is about 3,000 feet (915m). Hikers who feel they have reached their limits at this point should consider John Matte a break point reasonable.
