  1. Necessary stuff:
    1. Dial in the fit by adjusting the saddle height, tilt, and fore/aft position.
    2. Check brakes for function
    3. Check for looseness in bar or stem
    4. Inflate tires to correct pressure
    5. Take off the reflectors unless you need them
    Preferred:
    1. Remove pedals, cranks, and bottom bracket
    2. Grease bottom bracket shell and reinstall bb to correct torque
    3. Clean and lube crankset interface and reinstall to correct torque
    4. Clean and grease pedal threads and reinstall to correct torque
    5. Remove seatpost, grease it, and reinstall
    6. Remove bar and remove stem bolts
    7. Properly adjust headset preload
    8. Grease stem bolts and tighten to correct torque
    9. Grease bar clamp bolts and tighten to correct torque
    10. Check front derailleur mount position, adjust if necessary, torque
    11. Remove rear derailleur from hanger, clean and grease threads, reinstall to proper torque
    12. Check brake pad height and toe-in. Tighten pads to torque
    13. Remove wheels, repack hub bearings with good grease, adjust bearings
    14. Grease quick release skewers (or hub axle threads if you have threaded axles
    15. Drip ProLink ProGold chain lube onto each chain roller, shift through gears, and wipe excess from chain with clean shop rag
    16. Inflate tires to correct pressure
    17. Check bike fit. Adjust saddle as necessary. Tighten, but don’t overtighten, seatpost clamp.
    18. Write down bike serial number. Register it with local police department if they offer such a program to aid in theft recovery.
    19. Remove reflectors unless you’ll be night riding on the streets
    20. Ride bike around block a few times to check shifting and braking performance. Adjust if necessary.
WD40 is not a sufficient chain lube.

  2. Put WD40 on the chain so it would never get rusty
If you dont know what WD40 google it…they sell it in almost any hardware store for like 5 Bucks

  3. It should be. You may have to pump up the tires though.
