Qigong: Traditional Chinese Exercises for Healing Body, Mind, and Spirit
Qigong is Chinese meditation in motion, an ancient healing art using posture, exercise, breathing, and concentration. This video shows you how to harness the power of qi–the energy of the universe–to heal body and mind. Qigong uses dynamic, gentle movements and meditative postures. The video starts with a warm-up of whole-body breathing. Then master instructor Ken Cohen teaches a selection of exercise sets to cleanse the body, recharge it with fresh qi, circulate qi where it is needed, and disperse stagnant areas. He also teaches a series of healing sounds and techniques of standing meditation and walking meditation, along with posture and self-massage. This is a fine introduction to qigong, with many months of learning in this one 90-minute video. The setting is outdoors and seems Asian, with rocks, greenery, and a wooden bridge. Customer Review: This book took to long to make a point
This book gives good information with far too many words. They could cut this book in half and I would recommend it. The authors mix facts in with silly analogies that are not humorous. I found it distracting from the actual topic. It made me wonder if they ever really worked with overweight women. The jokes they made were insensitive and assumed that people have little self control. If you like goofy one liners, you will love this book. I like the facts, some case studies and a few stories. The data was very good. I would suggest buying it used. Now when they create a road map of the book with the data and facts, it will be a good resource to those of us who help people lose weight.

Meditation for Beginners

i like the mixture of just mediation sessions and sessions with stretch/yoga movement.. though the stretch/yoga sessions tend to move too fast. i kept having to pause, and watch again. i think with few more practices i wont have to concentrate too hard on the instructions.

Customer Review: If you really want to meditate, this is it!
I read the 3 star reviews and I think they were very unfair. The point they miss is that she is the best teacher of meditation I have ever experienced and I have tried many—both classes and DVD’s. Her accent does not interfere with her abilities at all. Nor is she self-absorbed—those reviewers really have missed a gem.

I love Rodney Yee’s AM yoga, but his DVD’s on meditation show he does not get it and she does.

I wish she would do more.

I love this little scale. It is a great size and folds for easy storage. I typically just leave it out on the counter as it gets used almost daily. It is so easy to switch between grams and ounces and to zero out container weights. For the price I would say it is a great buy. I have had mine for more than 6 months and have had no trouble at all.

When using gram measurements I could lift an item off the scale and put it back down and come up with a different weight. Using the tare function often gave me a weight off by a gram or two. If you are measuring yeast for example, the difference between 2 or 3 grams is a lot, percentage wise and baking wise. Sending it back.

I bought this scale for portion control while dieting. It is extremely easy to use. Measures grams, ounces, pounds. It can be recalibrated to deduct the weight of a plate or bowl so you only see the weight of your food. Wipes clean easily; & looks good enough to leave sitting out on the counter.

Customer Review: there are better workouts out there
When I first bought this DVD I thought it was an OK workout, but after reading a few of the review here I decided to get rid of it due to issues with back pain that others have experienced after using this DVD. I had had some pilates experience before purchasing this DVD, so I have a general idea of how to do some of the exercises, but if you know nothing about pilates I could see how this workout could lead to injuries. I never really used this DVD that much to begin with since it doesn’t really feel like much of a workout. I had originally bought it because it was only 20 minutes long and would fit into my busy schedule, but there are many other videos out there that have better quality workouts and include shorter and longer versions of the workout. I would recommend looking for something with Michelle Dozois if you want a pilates workout or just a general workout.

See-through window graphics are printed on mechanically perforated vinyl. This vinyl has a sticky adhesive on one side, protected by a peel away release layer. This perforated material, known as window perf, is made by many companies around the United States. All see-through window graphics are printed on basically the same material. The difference between graphic companies is what they print on this material!

The beauty of window perf is that it is incredibly low tech, comprised of 50% vinyl and 50% holes. Human eyes absorb light reflected from objects. When someone looks at the image on your window, their eyes absorb the light being reflected off of the printed image. The holes cannot be seen. The graphic looks like a solid image!

The sticky side of the graphic which faces the glass, is black.
